What is CCT MSc Computing?

MSc Computing is a 12 months full-time, NFQ Level 9, 90 ECTS programme in central Dublin. CCT’s public guidance puts tuition at EUR 14,000, about INR 15.37 lakh; the full cost model adds Irish finance requirements and modest insurance, visa and registration allowances below.

This is CCT’s broad advanced-computing option. The modules cross interaction design, programming paradigms, systems architecture, software process, networking, blockchain, embedded systems and a large applied project. CCT’s live intake field currently reads Next intake to be confirmed. QQI programme PG25324 is validated from 1 February 2024 to 31 January 2029. A course form, catalogue line and current QQI validation are separate evidence, and the written offer must identify the award, attendance mode, start date and fee before payment.

PG25324 is a broad advanced-computing award validated from February 2024 to January 2029. Its nine modules span interaction design, programming paradigms, operating systems, software process, advanced networking, distributed storage, embedded systems and research ethics, ending in a 30 ECTS capstone. CCT has not yet confirmed the next full-time intake.

How much does CCT MSc Computing cost for an Indian student?

The full-programme plan is EUR 24,660, about INR 27.06 lakh at the ECB reference rate dated 3 September 2026. It starts with the current CCT fee guidance of EUR 14,000, then adds living-funds, insurance, visa and registration allowances without counting any tuition deposit twice.

The living-funds row is an immigration evidence baseline and remains the student's money. It is neither a payment to CCT nor a promise that Dublin living costs will stay within that sum. Converted at EUR 1 = INR 109.7500 using the European Central Bank reference rate dated 3 September 2026. The euro total is the stable planning figure; bank and card rates will differ.

CCT’s fee page gives EUR 14,000 as the current non-EU offshore MSc guideline. It also tells applicants to contact the college for programme-specific fees. The estimate therefore uses the current published category amount while treating the offer and invoice as binding. It does not assume an unpublished scholarship, discount or application charge.

Tuition across the stated 1 academic year is EUR 14,000. A deposit, if the offer requires one, is a first instalment of that tuition rather than an extra cost. Payment dates, refund deductions and learner-protection arrangements should be read before remittance because cash timing can be as important as the total.

The Irish student-finance rule requires immediate access to at least EUR 10,000 for the first academic year of a course longer than eight months and equivalent access for later years. It also says the plan cannot rely on casual employment. The table repeats that baseline for the whole published course length so the final total is not misleadingly presented as a one-year budget.

The EUR 300 annual insurance line is a planning allowance, not a CCT charge. Replace it with an actual policy quote that meets immigration requirements. The EUR 300 registration line is also an allowance for each planned academic year; a student’s permission and renewal history determines the actual number of payments.

The current visa-fee page lists EUR 60 for a single-entry application. Visa service costs, document certification, police or medical evidence, travel to a visa centre and courier charges can add more. None is assigned a made-up number here because the amount depends on the applicant and submission route.

Housing is the largest unresolved variable. The immigration floor is evidence of available funds, not a Dublin rent forecast. A separate housing budget needs temporary accommodation, a security deposit, utility setup, local transport and the period before long-term housing is secured.

Currency movement can also change the rupee requirement. A five percent weakening of the rupee against the euro would add five percent to the INR figure even if every published euro charge stayed fixed. A euro-based funding plan with a separate exchange buffer is more robust than treating today’s conversion as a quote.

Irish immigration states the funding principle directly:

The calculation therefore does not subtract expected wages from living funds or tuition.

Can an Indian applicant meet CCT MSc Computing entry rules?

CCT applies a course-specific qualification, subject and experience test, detailed below. The current CCT English table places the award in its Level 9 band at IELTS 6.5. Indian qualifications require an individual level and subject assessment; no GRE, GMAT or SAT condition is published.

For India, QQI NARIC maps a bachelor degree of four years or more to NFQ Level 8, while its typical three-year general BA, BSc, BCom, BBA and BCA statement maps to Level 7. Those are general comparisons; CCT still decides the award level, subject match and any RPL case.

A Level 8 IT or cognate award with strong programming is the main route. The alternative is a non-cognate Level 8 award plus at least five years of relevant industry experience and strong programming. For India, QQI NARIC’s common four-year bachelor comparison reaches Level 8, while a typical three-year general BCA or BSc comparison reaches Level 7 and does not automatically meet the published requirement.

A broad transcript still needs technical depth. Programming modules, substantial software projects, algorithms, systems, architecture and networking can establish the base from which Programming Paradigms and Advanced Networking begin. A non-cognate professional should connect five full years of duties to code, systems or software delivery rather than relying on a managerial job title.

Delivery descriptions need care. CCT calls the full-time route on campus and states 15 weekly contact hours, provisionally across three days, while also describing virtual classroom or lab activity. QQI identifies a 12-month full-time programme. The live timetable should settle attendance, and the laptop page’s 8 GB specification should be weighed against the QQI panel’s recommendation for a 16 GB minimum.

For this NFQ Level 9, 90 ECTS award, the live CCT table gives IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 120 to 129 and TOEFL iBT 81 to 90. CCT may also verify English through its own test and admissions interview. No GRE, GMAT or SAT condition is published for this programme.

CCT states the English recency rule directly:

The MSc Computing application calendar therefore has to keep the result valid through commencement.

Four checks before an Indian applicant pays

1. Award equivalence and subject fit are separate

   CCT decides whether an Indian qualification reaches the required Irish level. It then checks the course-specific subjects, skills or experience. Recognition of the institution alone does not complete both assessments.

2. Use the current English table

   Directory pages can retain older IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo scores. Use CCT’s live international table and any stricter condition in the offer. A score range is not permission to submit the bottom number for a different award level.

3. RPL needs evidence

   Where Recognition of Prior Learning is available, employment duration alone isn’t enough. A structured CV, employer confirmation, training, work products and reflective evidence should demonstrate learning comparable with the normal award route.

4. A visible form does not prove a seat

   A general application or enquiry form can remain online when a full-time cohort is full, under review or awaiting dates. A written offer naming the start and mode is the safer basis for payment.

How should an Indian student apply for CCT MSc Computing?

Use the CCT direct-application route and select the exact full-time programme. CCT accepts direct applications on a rolling basis but does not publish a fixed full-time closing date. For MSc Computing, the live status reads Next intake to be confirmed; written availability evidence belongs before payment or visa work.

The allowances are preparation estimates, not deadlines or processing times published by CCT College Dublin. Start dates remain unconfirmed.

The exact course page is the starting source because CCT lists different study modes on some awards. The application and eventual offer must say full-time and identify MSc Computing. A part-time or blended timetable should not be assumed to satisfy the same immigration purpose.

The core file should be ready before the form is used. CCT lists school or university qualifications and transcripts, a current CV, passport identification, a personal statement and English evidence. Official translations belong beside the original documents, and the grading scale needs to be easy to interpret.

The written offer is the controlling record for admission conditions, full-time mode, start date, the exact QQI award, tuition, any deposit, later instalments and refund terms. Any mismatch with the public page needs a written resolution before a transfer is made.

After an unconditional offer and the required payment evidence, use the Irish long-stay study-visa instructions. The visa decision is separate from admission. Finance history, the reason for the course, education gaps, insurance and supporting documents all need to be internally consistent.

Immigration Service Delivery gives about eight weeks as the study-visa processing indication after documents are received, while complex cases can take longer. That interval belongs after admission and fee evidence in the calendar, not inside the academic application estimate.

A rolling process is not an unlimited process. A cohort can close when filled, and late admission can leave too little time for payment, housing and visa work. Applying early improves planning room but does not guarantee a place or decision date.

What jobs and work rights can follow CCT MSc Computing?

The curriculum supports directions in software engineering, systems development, network engineering, technical product work, DevOps-adjacent roles and applied computing research. CCT does not publish an audited course placement rate, salary distribution or named recruiter outcome for this award. Ireland’s graduate programme can provide 12 plus possible 12 months after an eligible award, but it guarantees neither a job nor sponsorship.

Course content and national work rights provide context. They don't predict an individual's placement, salary, occupation classification or employment-permit result.

This MSc is broad enough to support several technical directions but too broad to certify a specialist by title alone. Programming Paradigms and Software Process Management align with development work; Operating Systems and Architecture with systems roles; Advanced Networking and Security with infrastructure; and Embedded Systems with device-level computing. The target role should determine which assessed work becomes portfolio evidence.

Blockchain and Distributed Storage is one ten-credit module, not a blockchain specialisation. Computer Interaction and Communication contributes UX and UI perspective, while Research and Professional Ethics prepares the 30 ECTS Capstone Project. An applicant seeking a deep artificial-intelligence, data-science or cybersecurity sequence should compare those specialist curricula rather than infer them from the broad award name.

The capstone ends in a solution demonstration and peer presentation, with an opportunity to show a poster to industry representatives. It remains an academic project, and the QQI schedule records no work-based-learning hours. CCT publishes no MSc Computing placement percentage, graduate salary distribution or defined recruiter cohort, so career claims stop at defensible role alignment.

The Higher Education Authority Graduate Outcomes research provides national context, not a CCT MSc Computing result. Mixing institutions, disciplines and prior-experience levels would create a false course percentage, so this page does not relabel a national figure as programme placement.

A qualifying Level 9 graduate can receive 12 plus possible 12 months under the Irish graduate programme. That is job-search permission, not a promised employer. Who is CCT MSc Computing for, and who should look elsewhere?

The strongest fit today meets the academic route, proves the programme-specific preparation below, and has a defined role target and independently viable budget. The weakest fit expects admission, an internship or Irish employment to follow automatically from the course title.

The clearest positive profile is computing graduate seeking a broad level 9 upgrade. The curriculum extends software, systems, networks and applied project work without forcing one narrow specialism. That applicant can enter with an evidence plan rather than spending the first term discovering a missing foundation.

The uncertain profile is experienced non-computing graduate who programs professionally. The alternative route exists, but five years of relevant evidence and genuine programming depth are required. The right response is to compare transcript and work evidence with every module, then ask admissions a narrow written question about the unresolved point.

The poor-fit profile is beginner expecting a coding conversion. The course starts beyond introductory programming and CCT makes strong programming an admission condition. Choosing another route in that situation is a course-fit decision, not a judgement about academic ability.

Cost fit deserves its own test. This 1-year plan includes tuition, annual living provision and stated immigration allowances but leaves out flights and housing deposits. Dependence on immediate casual work, an unconfirmed scholarship or a future graduate salary makes it financially fragile.

Availability can decide the shortlist before preference does. The live catalogue does not provide enough certainty to treat a future seat as secured. A second eligible programme should remain active until the written offer names the full-time place, especially where closure or an unconfirmed next date is stated.

Breadth is the reason to choose this course and its main trade-off. It can connect software engineering with systems, networking and device-level computing, which helps an applicant who wants to build across boundaries. Someone already committed to data modelling or security operations should compare CCT’s named specialist MSc curricula, where more of the credit directly supports that target.

What will you study in CCT MSc Computing?

The published curriculum totals 90 ECTS. It shows how the award moves from taught or staged work into applied assessment. Should an Indian student shortlist CCT MSc Computing?

Shortlist it when your previous education can satisfy the exact academic and readiness rules and the curriculum matches a defined role. It is a poor shortlist choice when only the tuition headline looks affordable: the complete EUR 24,660 plan, intake status and absent placement guarantee materially change the decision.

The shortlist case rests on evidence of object-oriented programming, software projects, operating systems, networks and architecture. Those foundations determine whether the published sequence is a credible next academic step. The course is coherent for that profile, but its title can't replace current availability, full funding or demonstrable preparation.

The decisive caution is specific. CCT has not confirmed the next intake, and breadth limits specialisation. Applicants wanting a deep AI, cybersecurity or data-science sequence should compare the exact credits rather than relying on the broad Computing title. The course page also doesn't publish a guaranteed internship, programme salary distribution or audited placement percentage. Those omissions don't prove poor outcomes, but they prevent a responsible page from converting course marketing into a personal return forecast.
