What is Dublin Business School MSc Applied Psychology, Health and Wellbeing, and what does it cost?

Ireland’s regulator made DBS put a warning on its own page, so this page starts there too. Completing this degree does not lead to eligibility to register as a psychologist, and it does not guarantee eligibility when a register opens. That is a condition of validation, not marketing caution.

It is an academic master’s in applied psychology, 90 credits at Level 9, taught in the DBS School of Arts with a real laboratory behind it. Non-EU tuition is EUR 14,500, about INR 15.96 lakh. This is deliberately labelled as a Dublin estimate, not a DBS fee or promise.

The Irish immigration evidence floor is EUR 10,000 for a one-year course. It answers whether funds can be demonstrated to the visa authority. The EUR 21,600 row answers a different question: what an upper city plan looks like when rent and ordinary spending are treated conservatively.

The EUR 60 visa fee and EUR 300 registration fee are consumed charges when applicable. The visa payment covers processing rather than approval, so it doesn’t buy a visa decision. DBS tuition is shown once, and an offer payment credited to tuition is not added again to the full-programme total.

Private medical insurance is required for the immigration route, but no single current premium applies to every applicant and policy. The INR value uses the European Central Bank rate of 110.0485 on 1 September 2026. At that rate, tuition alone is INR 15.96 lakh. A five percent rupee weakening would increase the converted euro total by roughly five percent before a bank spread or transfer charge.

DBS permits only one scholarship or discount scheme in an academic year and states that courses remain subject to sufficient student numbers. A discount should reduce an already affordable plan. It should not be the only reason the tuition and housing cash flow appears possible.

The fee sheet also sets restrictive refund conditions and a specific visa-refusal process. The consumed-cost plan therefore needs a separate cash-flow view: when tuition leaves the account, when housing needs a deposit and when a refund would be available if a documented visa refusal fits the stated terms.

Can an Indian applicant get into Dublin Business School MSc Applied Psychology, Health and Wellbeing?

Entry is a 2.1 honours psychology degree that confers eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland or the British Psychological Society. The QQI record sets that condition, and an Indian psychology degree is on neither society’s accredited list.

This evidence is to be obtained by the applicant applying directly to the PSI or BPS for graduate membership.”

   So the sequence is: apply to a professional society in another country, wait for their decision, then apply to DBS with it. That is a months-long step that no course page puts in front of you, and the same document adds that your degree must have included an independent empirical research project.

2. The regulator made DBS print the warning

   The disclosure on the course page is a Special Condition of Validation, added after QQI sought confirmation from Ireland’s health regulator

   “successful completion of this programme does not currently lead to eligibility for registration, nor does it guarantee eligibility for registration when a register is established… consider this programme as an academic qualification, and not as a programme that confers, or guarantees, professional registration.”

   CORU confirms the psychologists’ registers are not open, with the first three expected in 2027 and the general register still in drafting.

3. It is not a conversion course, and DBS runs one separately

   This programme requires psychology eligibility as an input. If you do not have it, the course you actually want is the Higher Diploma in Arts in Psychology, which DBS describes as a psychology conversion course and which is PSI accredited where this master’s is not. That is two years part-time rather than one, and it is the published route for someone whose first degree was not psychology.

DBS accepts a direct online application and currently shows September 2026 as the next intake. English evidence and document preparation can proceed together. A recognised result must still be valid for the course start, and every translated record must remain readable beside the original. The curriculum vitae should evidence the experience used for any RPL or non-cognate route.

The international document list names academic documents, transcripts, English evidence, a curriculum vitae and passport. The programme page remains the authority for any additional route-specific material. The direct form is the submission channel, while decisions and conditions remain with DBS.

An offer changes the work from eligibility to cash flow. The fee sheet says full first-year tuition must be paid before the course begins for visa and residence purposes. Financial evidence, insurance and housing therefore need to be prepared while the admission file is under review, not after every other step is complete.

The local target makes the timing risk visible. A missing English result with a forty-five-day allowance does not fit inside the remaining September 2026 window. In that case the next confirmed intake is safer than presenting an incomplete file or paying non-refundable costs under pressure.

What jobs and work rights follow Dublin Business School MSc Applied Psychology, Health and Wellbeing?

No employment rate or named employers are published for this programme. The numbers that exist come from the regulator’s file and they’re academic rather than professional, which fairly reflects what the qualification is. That is a fair reflection of what the qualification is, and of the fact that Ireland’s psychologist registers have not opened yet.

Roles DBS lists, such as assistant psychologist and mental health support worker, are directions rather than destinations. No hiring evidence for this course is published.

What the degree genuinely supports is the assistant and support end of psychology work, research roles, and an application to a doctorate in clinical, counselling or educational psychology.
