What is Trinity MSc International Management, and what does it cost?

Trinity MSc International Management is a one-year, 90-ECTS Level 9 degree aimed at early-career business graduates. The 2027/28 non-EU tuition is EUR 25,150, and the upper full-year plan is INR 58.77 lakh. Entry depends on academic relevance, the Business School’s 6.8 India guide and Band C English.

The stable structure combines 60 taught ECTS with a 30-ECTS International Consultancy Project. Two official pages disagree on the current core and elective menu, so this record does not merge them into one invented module list. Trinity says the application portal will open in November 2026 but has not published the closing date.

How much does Trinity MSc International Management actually cost?

Plan up to EUR 52,569, or INR 58.77 lakh, for the year using Trinity’s upper postgraduate living estimate. The known-cost range is EUR 46,569 to EUR 52,569 because Trinity publishes a EUR 21,050 to EUR 27,050 living range, while residency travel has no current public price.

ItemINRLocal currencyWhen it is due
Non-EU tuition for 2027/28INR 28.12 lakhEUR 25,150Across the academic year
Postgraduate living budget, upper endINR 30.24 lakhEUR 27,050Across twelve months
Student Levies and ChargesINR 35,105EUR 314At registration
MyTCD application feeINR 6,149EUR 55With the application
Upper published-cost plan, residency excludedINR 58.77 lakhEUR 52,569Basis above

Converted at EUR 1 to INR 111.7985 from the ECB rate for 20 August 2026. Flights, refundable rent deposits, personal travel and any separately charged international-residency travel are excluded because Trinity publishes no current residency amount.

The lower end of the same arithmetic is EUR 46,569, or INR 52.06 lakh. It uses EUR 21,050 for living instead of EUR 27,050, while tuition, the levy and the application stay unchanged. The upper figure is safer for shortlisting because private Dublin rent is one of the largest moving parts in Trinity’s estimate.

Trinity’s living range includes accommodation, food, utilities, local transport, books, clothing, health insurance and the EUR 300 immigration registration charge. Do not add those items again unless your own budget replaces the university range with an itemised plan. The international residency remains outside the total because the current public sources do not state its travel or accommodation treatment.

Irish Immigration requires immediate access to EUR 10,000 in addition to tuition for a course longer than eight months. That is a visa evidence floor, not a Dublin spending forecast. It is less than half of Trinity’s lower living estimate, and credit cards aren’t accepted as evidence, so a plan based on tuition plus EUR 10,000 is short before classes begin.

Funding is limited for this course. Trinity’s Global Excellence postgraduate award excludes Business, while the 2026 Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship offered a full tuition waiver and EUR 10,000 for eligible one-year master’s students but closed on 12 March 2026. The 2027 terms are unpublished, so build affordability without an award and update the funding plan when the next cycle appears.

Irish immigration states

“You must show that you have enough money to support yourself fully in Ireland without recourse to public funds or the reliance on casual employment.”Immigration Service Delivery, student finances

The rule makes casual income unavailable as a funding assumption.

The amount available before travel matters more than the fee invoice alone. Tuition, living funds and one-time charges fall on different dates, while the rupee comparison moves with the exchange rate. A workable family plan therefore keeps a separate cash buffer instead of treating the converted total as a fixed promise.

The European Central Bank reference rate fixes only a dated INR comparison. Later employment conditions follow Department of Enterprise permit rules, not a Trinity placement outcome.

Immigration evidence and a realistic Dublin budget answer different questions. The first shows funds available for the visa decision. The second tests whether the household can actually cover rent, food, transport and study costs over the full programme. Meeting the regulatory minimum does not make a lower living plan realistic, and part-time earnings do not repair a funding gap at application stage.

A scholarship is excluded from the dependable base plan until it has been awarded in writing. Published amounts can be competitive, limited to one year or unavailable to a particular course. The decision should therefore remain affordable without the award. If funding arrives later, it reduces the exposure instead of rescuing an otherwise incomplete budget.

Future fees and currency movement need separate buffers because they are different risks. A later Trinity charge changes the euro amount, while exchange movement changes the rupee cost of every euro. Holding the latest figures flat makes the arithmetic reproducible, but it does not turn the result into a university invoice or a ceiling on final spending.

Can an Indian applicant get into Trinity MSc International Management?

You need a 2.1-equivalent degree in business or a related subject, and Trinity Business School’s current India guide is CGPA 6.8 out of 10. Band C English is a separate requirement. Strong marks in an unrelated degree do not automatically turn this into a conversion course.

Four rules that decide an Indian application

  1. The prior degree must support international management

The course directory describes the programme for applicants with a business or related undergraduate degree. A BCom, BBA or management degree fits directly. An economics or closely related award may fit when the transcript shows relevant preparation. A degree with no meaningful business content needs a different conversion programme rather than an unsupported assumption.
  2. The 6.8 guide does not erase subject fit

CGPA 6.8 out of 10 is Trinity Business School’s current India guide for MSc applicants. It is not a guarantee of admission and it does not replace the course’s business or related-degree condition. Check the award result first, then the subject content, because clearing only one of the two leaves the academic case incomplete.
  3. Band C is higher than Trinity's common Band B

This course requires IELTS 7.0 overall with 6.5 in every component. The frequently quoted Trinity score of IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 each belongs to Band B and does not govern International Management. A result that clears another Trinity MSc can therefore fail this one. Use the course page and Band C row together when choosing a test target.
  4. An English-medium degree supports a request, not an automatic exemption

Trinity permits a postgraduate applicant whose primary degree was wholly taught in English to request an exemption with formal medium-of-instruction evidence. The decision is discretionary. An Indian English-medium degree therefore supports an exemption request, but it should not replace a Band C test until Trinity confirms the exemption in writing.

How should you apply for September 2027?

Apply through MyTCD, while your awarding institution and referees provide evidence for Trinity’s assessment. Trinity says the September 2027 portal will open in November 2026 but gives no closing date. Use 31 March 2027 as an early complete-file target, not as Trinity’s official deadline.

You submit through MyTCD, your awarding institution supplies the academic record, two referees support the file, and Trinity Business School assesses degree fit, marks, English and the complete application.

Your current file status matters more than a generic countdown. If your passport, transcripts and accepted English result are ready, this planning target may be workable. If English testing or a written eligibility decision is pending, request a case review before choosing the intake.

24 Mar 2027Submit the MyTCD application7Final check and EUR 55 payment before the planning target.

The allowances are Nbyula planning estimates, not processing times published by Trinity College Dublin.

Academic fit should be settled before essays. A clearly relevant business degree needs little interpretation, while economics or another related award may need a module-level explanation. Send the transcript and module descriptions when the title alone does not show the business content. This prevents a polished application from reaching the school with its central eligibility question unanswered.

Band C English and the references can run in parallel. The English result must remain within two years of the course start, and one of the two referees should be academic. Give the academic referee the programme description and enough time to comment on analytical writing, group work and readiness for an applied consultancy project rather than requesting a generic recommendation.

The programme closed for 2026 despite a directory date in July, so an official last date is not a promise that places remain. A complete file by 31 March leaves more room for review, scholarships, immigration evidence and Dublin housing. The date is an early planning target and should be replaced when Trinity publishes the 2027 deadline.

The September 2027 closing date is not publishedThe course directory’s 14 July 2026 date has passed, and the programme closed before the next cycle opened. Trinity has confirmed a November reopening for September 2027 but has not published that cycle’s final close.

What jobs and work rights follow Trinity MSc International Management?

Trinity reports that 76 percent received a job offer within three months and names eleven employers, but the public page gives no cohort denominator, response rate, salary or independent audit. Use the figure as school-reported programme evidence rather than a guaranteed Irish placement probability.

MeasureFigureBasis
Job offers76%Received a job offer within three months, self-reported by Trinity without a published denominator or audit.
Named employers11 examplesAccenture, Capventis, Davy, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, Kerry Group, Microsoft, Oracle, Prepay Power and KPMG.
Consultancy project30 ECTSA compulsory international consultancy project applies taught learning to a client problem. It is not a placement guarantee.
Graduate permission12 plus 12 monthsAn eligible Level 9 graduate receives 12 months initially and may receive another 12 after showing appropriate steps towards graduate employment.

The 76 percent result and employer names are published by Trinity and are not independently audited in the checked page. No programme-level salary, respondent count, work-location split or Indian graduate outcome was published.

The employer list shows a mix of consulting, professional services, finance, technology, energy and consumer business. Accenture, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton and KPMG support the consulting direction, while Microsoft and Oracle support technology-facing roles. Trinity does not state how many graduates each organisation hired or whether the jobs were in Ireland, so the names show range rather than probability.

The consultancy project can produce a practical interview example. It asks students to work on an international management issue and bring together the taught curriculum. The project is an academic requirement rather than paid employment, and the public sources do not promise that the client will recruit from the group. Judge it by the work you can demonstrate, not by an assumed job conversion.

An eligible Level 9 graduate receives twelve months on Stamp 1G and may renew for another twelve after showing appropriate job-search steps. Full-time employment is permitted during Stamp 1G, but self-employment is not. A later employment permit depends on the occupation, salary and offer, so the degree title alone does not settle long-term work rights.

Where does Trinity MSc International Management rank?

The Financial Times Masters in Management 2025 table places Trinity 38th worldwide and third among schools in the UK and Ireland. The ranking gives programme-level comparison context, but it is not an admission rule and does not replace the programme's own outcome evidence.

Who should apply, and who should not?

The strongest fit is an early-career business graduate who wants international strategy, cross-border management and an applied consultancy project. The weakest fits are non-business applicants seeking conversion, candidates below Band C English and students who need a narrow technical specialisation or a guaranteed placement.

VerdictYour backgroundWhy
Strong fitBCom, BBA or business graduate with CGPA 6.8 out of 10 or aboveStrong academic fit when the target is international strategy, consulting or multinational business work.
Strong fitEarly-career applicant wanting a client consultancy projectThe 30-ECTS project gives a substantial applied ending to the one-year course.
Needs evidenceEconomics or related-degree applicantPossible fit when the transcript shows enough business preparation. Get written confirmation if the title is ambiguous.
Needs evidenceExperienced manager seeking senior leadership progressionThe programme accepts early-career applicants and is not an MBA. Compare the return from an experience-based degree.
Do not shortlistEngineer or humanities graduate with no meaningful business studyWrong academic shape. This is not the general conversion MSc for unrelated first degrees.
Do not shortlistApplicant with IELTS 6.5 overallNot enough for this course. Band C requires 7.0 overall and 6.5 in every component.
Do not shortlistApplicant who needs a guaranteed internship or placementThe programme guarantees a 30-ECTS consultancy project, not paid work or a graduate job.
Do not shortlistApplicant whose budget stops at tuition plus EUR 10,000The money is short. Trinity's own lower annual living estimate is EUR 21,050 before tuition.

The programme’s clearest use is international breadth on top of an existing business foundation. A BCom graduate can add strategy, ethics, international people management, global brands and client work without repeating an introductory conversion curriculum. The same breadth is less useful to an applicant who already knows the target function and needs deep finance, analytics or supply-chain training.

Early-career positioning matters. Trinity does not publish a work-experience minimum, and the course is not an MBA. A recent business graduate can use projects, internships and academic evidence to build the case. A manager with substantial experience should compare whether the cohort, career level and curriculum justify a specialised MSc rather than an experience-based management degree.

International exposure adds value and uncertainty. The curriculum includes a residency and an international consultancy project, but the checked pages do not publish a separate residency travel cost. A student who cannot absorb an unpriced travel component should obtain written cost treatment before accepting an offer rather than assuming the EUR 52,569 upper known-cost total covers it.

What do the 90 ECTS actually contain?

The programme has 60 ECTS of taught modules and a 30-ECTS International Consultancy Project. The September 2027 overview says six core modules and a choice from eight electives, while the detailed 2025/26 page says five core and four electives. The credit split is stable, but the exact taught set needs confirmation.

ComponentECTSWhere it sits
Core and elective taught modules60Michaelmas and Hilary terms
International Consultancy Project30Final Trinity term
Total90
  • The September 2027 overview describes six core taught modules and a choice from eight specialised electives.
  • The detailed page still shows the 2025/26 pattern of five core modules and four electives, so do not transfer that count to 2027.
  • The final 30 credits come from the International Consultancy Project rather than a conventional dissertation.

The taught stage builds a shared international-management base. The older detailed page names Strategy and Global Business, Ethical Business, International Human Resource Management, Global Brand Management and Experiences in International Management. Those themes explain the course’s direction, but the six-core 2027 overview shows that the live module set is changing.

Electives create the main personal direction inside the 60 taught credits. The September 2027 overview advertises a menu of eight, while the detailed page still shows four choices in the earlier structure. Do not choose the programme for one elective unless Trinity confirms both the module and how many options the 2027 cohort takes.

The final term is built around the 30-ECTS International Consultancy Project. It replaces a conventional dissertation with an applied client problem and asks students to integrate the taught work. The scale makes it academically important, but the project remains assessed study rather than an internship or promise of employment with the client.

Should you shortlist Trinity MSc International Management?

Shortlist it if your first degree is in business or a closely related subject and you can meet Band C English. The programme is built for early-career international-management applicants, so academic relevance and language readiness matter before its consultancy project, ranking or employer list can add value.

The course offers an applied ending rather than a dissertation-only year. A 30-ECTS international consultancy project asks you to use the taught material on a real management problem, and the international residency adds exposure beyond Dublin. The tradeoff is breadth. This is a general international-management degree, not a deep finance, analytics or supply-chain specialisation.

Three things are genuinely hard here. A non-business graduate can meet the marks and still have the wrong academic background because this isn't Trinity's general conversion MSc. Band C means IELTS 7.0 with 6.5 in every component, which is higher than the Band B threshold used by several neighbouring courses. And the upper known-cost plan reaches INR 58.77 lakh before flights, refundable deposits and any separately charged international-residency travel.

Key takeaways
  • The 2027/28 non-EU tuition is EUR 25,150, and the upper known-cost plan is EUR 52,569 or INR 58.77 lakh at the ECB rate for 20 August 2026.
  • Trinity Business School's India guide is CGPA 6.8 out of 10, but the prior degree must still be in business or a related subject.
  • Band C requires IELTS 7.0 overall with 6.5 in every component, so the common Trinity Band B score does not clear this course.
  • The 90-ECTS structure contains 60 taught credits and a compulsory 30-ECTS International Consultancy Project.
  • Trinity reports 76 percent receiving a job offer within three months, but publishes no denominator, salary or independent audit on the checked page.
  • The Financial Times Masters in Management 2025 table places Trinity 38th worldwide and third in the UK and Ireland.

Frequently asked questions

What is the total cost of Trinity MSc International Management?

Plan up to EUR 52,569, or INR 58.77 lakh, for the year. That combines EUR 25,150 tuition, Trinity's upper EUR 27,050 living estimate, EUR 314 in Student Levies and Charges and the EUR 55 application fee. Flights, refundable deposits and separately charged residency travel remain outside the total.

What CGPA does Trinity MSc International Management require from India?

Trinity Business School's current India guide is CGPA 6.8 out of 10. The score is not enough by itself because the programme also expects a business or related undergraduate degree. Submit the grading scale and complete transcript so the school can assess both the result and subject preparation.

Can a non-business graduate apply for Trinity MSc International Management?

Only when the prior degree is genuinely related and the transcript shows suitable business preparation. Trinity describes this course for applicants with a business or related undergraduate degree. An engineer or humanities graduate with no meaningful business study should compare a conversion master's rather than assuming strong marks solve the subject mismatch.

Do Indian applicants need IELTS for Trinity MSc International Management?

Plan for IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with 6.5 in every component. A degree wholly taught in English can support a discretionary exemption request when accompanied by formal medium-of-instruction evidence, but it is not an automatic waiver. Do not rely on exemption until Trinity confirms it in writing.

When do September 2027 applications open and close?

Trinity says the portal will reopen in November 2026 for September 2027. It has not published the final closing date. The previous course-page date was 14 July 2026, but that intake is closed. Use 31 March 2027 as an early planning target, not as Trinity's official deadline.

Does Trinity MSc International Management include a dissertation or internship?

The programme ends with a compulsory 30-ECTS International Consultancy Project rather than a conventional dissertation. The project applies the taught curriculum to a client problem, but Trinity does not describe it as paid work, a guaranteed internship or a placement. Treat it as assessed academic experience with an external focus.

What is the employment rate after Trinity MSc International Management?

Trinity reports that 76 percent received a job offer within three months. The checked page does not publish the cohort denominator, response rate, salary, work-location split or independent audit. Use the percentage as school-reported programme evidence, then assess your own probability from prior experience, English and target role.

Where does Trinity MSc International Management rank?

The Financial Times Masters in Management 2025 table places Trinity 38th worldwide and third among schools in the UK and Ireland. These are two scopes from the same ranking, not separate league tables. Rank helps compare programmes but does not determine admission or guarantee a job after graduation.
