What is TU Dublin MBA, and what does it cost?

TU Dublin’s own page rules out an offshore applicant before any academic question arises. This is a part-time MBA, and a non-EU student who isn’t already resident in Ireland can’t use it to get here. Tuition is EUR 12,500 a year over two, about INR 27.57 lakh in total.

For someone already here it is the strongest business qualification in this set. It carries AMBA accreditation, which TU Dublin describes as the top 2% of MBA courses globally, and none of its seven sibling programmes carries any business accreditation at all.

How much does TU Dublin MBA actually cost?

The published tuition and application fee total EUR 25,050, or about INR 27.57 lakh. Living costs are excluded because this is an existing-resident part-time route, while global immersion travel and other contingent costs are not published. The inputs come from the programme page and TU Dublin cost guide.

ItemINRLocal currencyWhen it is due
Tuition, full programmeINR 27.57 lakhEUR 25,000At current published rates
Application feeINR 0.06 lakhEUR 50At portal submission
Full-programme planning totalINR 27.57 lakhEUR 25,050Across the full published duration

The EUR 10,000 immigration finance floor is evidence for a visa decision, not TU Dublin's realistic cost estimate. Converted at EUR 1 = INR 110.0485, the ECB reference rate for 1 September 2026. Bank spreads, insurance, flights, refundable housing deposits and later fee changes are excluded.

The tuition input is EUR 25,000 across the currently published programme duration. A deposit credited against tuition is not added again. The EUR 50 application fee is consumed even when the application is unsuccessful.

TU Dublin’s annual living-away range is excluded because the MBA is meant for an eligible resident who remains in employment. A personal plan still needs commuting, materials, existing household costs and the unpublished global-immersion cost.

The university has no on-campus accommodation. Private student housing, private rental and host-family options have different deposits and contract lengths, and those cash-flow timings are not captured by an annual total.

Private medical insurance is compulsory for a non-EEA student, but no universal current premium applies to every applicant. It remains outside the arithmetic instead of inserting a false common price.

The INR conversion uses the European Central Bank reference rate dated 1 September 2026. A weaker rupee raises the family contribution even if the EUR 25,000 tuition figure does not change, while annual fee changes create a separate risk for a multi-year course.

Student work permission does not apply as a funding benefit for this part-time route from India. The programme instead requires an existing eligible Irish residence or work permission.

Can an Indian applicant get into TU Dublin MBA?

Five years of post-graduate experience including three managerial, an interview, a written reference and IELTS 7.0, which is a full band above every sibling on TU Dublin’s English requirements page. The residency rule sits above all of it. A PPSN is also required to complete the application, which is another sign of who the programme is built for.

Immigration (India)Existing Irish permission is requiredThe course route and permission must agree

A PPSN is required to complete the application, which is another sign of who the programme is built for. It does not appear on the course page.

The part-time EU and UK deadline for the autumn intake fell on 4 September 2026, and a January 2027 intake follows. Both are live dates for an eligible applicant, which makes this the only TU Dublin course in this set with an open application at all.

What most applicants miss

  1. An offshore applicant is not eligible, and the fee is not refunded

    TU Dublin says
“Non-EU students, not resident in Ireland, are not eligible to apply for part time programmes that are delivered on-campus. Applications for part time courses that require on-campus attendance will not be processed and the application fee will not be refunded.”TU Dublin MBA
The Irish Immigration Service agrees from the other side: part-time or distance learning courses do not qualify for student permission. Post-study rights, for anyone eligible, come from the Third Level Graduate Programme.
  2. Being here on a student visa does not help either

TU Dublin adds that non-EU applicants resident in Ireland on a Stamp 2 student permission cannot register for part-time courses, because part-time study does not meet student visa requirements. The readers who can actually take this are people on Stamp 1, 1G, 3 or 4, which in practice means an employment permit, a spouse or dependant permission, long-term residence, or a recent graduate on 1G. That last group should note a 1G runs twelve months renewable to twenty-four against a two-year programme, while TU Dublin requires eligibility to be maintained throughout. Where a management role sits for permit purposes is decided by the Critical Skills Occupations List, which works on occupation codes.

  3. The Silicon Valley trip is included, the cost of being there is not

The global immersion has run in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years and TU Dublin says the cost of the course is included in the fee, then adds that students must budget for subsistence. A week in the Bay Area, self-funded for food and incidentals, with no figure published. It is the one unpublished cost on this programme and it is worth asking about before enrolment. The award itself is Level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

How should you apply for TU Dublin MBA?

The central international application page sets the controlling status. The published commencement dates are past or closed, and the next valid intake is not published. An offshore India study-visa application is not eligible for this part-time course. It is the only TU Dublin course here with an open application, because its EU and UK part-time route is unaffected.

The allowances are Nbyula planning estimates, not processing times published by Technological University Dublin.

The correct route is Eligibility enquiry only for applicants who already hold qualifying Irish residence or work permission. The programme title, code, mode and campus need to agree throughout the portal file because similar TU Dublin records can lead to the wrong selection.

The postgraduate file requires a passport, the institution’s grading scale, degree or completion evidence, every annual transcript, English proof, a current CV and a statement of purpose. The undergraduate route requires the school award, subject evidence and English documentation applicable to the course.

The 26 June 2026 deadline is a historical control, not a live invitation. A future page revision needs an official later intake, fee and deadline before the CTA can change from counselling to application support.

The preparation durations are planning allowances rather than university processing promises. They create enough room for an English result and document correction before a future official closing date is known.

Application fee

The EUR 50 application fee is non-refundable.

Closing status

A programme may close before a central deadline.

Local CTA

The local CTA is not an application submission.

What jobs and work rights follow TU Dublin MBA?

This is the only programme in the TU Dublin set with a business accreditation and the only one that publishes named graduate employers. Both facts come from TU Dublin’s own pages rather than from a ranking, and neither is matched by any of its seven siblings at the same university.

The named alumni employers are individual graduates TU Dublin profiles, not an audited destinations table.

AMBA is the accreditation an MBA buyer is usually told to look for, and it is genuinely here. Set against that, this is a course you can only take if you are already in Ireland with the right permission, which is a narrow door in front of a good room.

The cohort profile is published in unusual detail for this set, and it describes experienced managers rather than recent graduates. That is consistent with a five-year experience requirement and it is most of what an executive MBA is bought for.

Who should apply to TU Dublin MBA, and who should not?

This is an excellent programme for a narrow group: people already in Ireland on a permission that allows part-time study, with five years of work behind them. For an applicant in India it is not a route, and Irish immigration is explicit about why.

VerdictYour backgroundWhy
Strong fitSomeone in Ireland on Stamp 1, 3 or 4 with five years of experienceThat is the group TU Dublin says may study part-time, and the programme is built around them.
Strong fitA manager who wants an AMBA-accredited MBA without leaving their jobFriday afternoons and Saturday mornings over two years, with AMBA on the award.
Needs evidenceA recent graduate on Stamp 1GEligible to study part-time, but a 1G runs to twenty-four months against a two-year course.
Do not shortlistAnyone applying from India who needs a study visaTU Dublin says such applications are not processed and the fee is not refunded.
Do not shortlistAnyone in Ireland on a Stamp 2 student permissionTU Dublin states that Stamp 2 holders cannot register for part-time courses.
Do not shortlistAnyone with fewer than five years of post-graduate experienceThree of those five must be managerial or professional, and it is a hard rule.

If you are reading this from India and want to study in Ireland, the full-time master’s are the ones to compare. This page exists so that the eligibility rule reaches you before an application fee does.

If you are already here, the questions worth asking are about the immersion subsistence cost and about maintaining eligibility across two years, because TU Dublin requires that eligibility throughout the course rather than just at entry.

What does the 90-ECTS TU Dublin MBA curriculum contain?

The current programme structure moves from Strategy and Leadership into Individual consultancy project. The grouped table is a planning map rather than a claim that every listed option runs in every intake. Ninety credits over two years part-time, taught Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings at Aungier Street, with a global immersion week built in.

ComponentECTSWhere it sits
Full published award structure90The official course page controls module-level credits, options and progression
Total90
  • Complete the published 90-ECTS award structure
  • Use the intake module list because options can change
  • Meet every progression, project or specialisation condition

The foundation includes Strategy, Leadership and Innovation. These areas show why the entry requirement asks for prior academic or professional evidence rather than relying only on the award title.

The specialist middle covers Change management, Sustainability and Global business. Elective or pathway wording matters because an example on the current page does not guarantee that exact option for a later intake.

The assessed end point includes Finance and analytics and Individual consultancy project. Its value depends on the resulting evidence, while the official page does not promise a named client, paid host or automatic employment outcome.

Should you shortlist TU Dublin MBA?

Applying to this from India is a wasted fee, because TU Dublin says such applications are not processed and the fee is not refunded. If you’re already in Ireland on a permission that allows part-time study, it’s the best-accredited business qualification here.

An executive format built around people already in senior roles, with an average student age of 38 and eighteen years of work experience behind the room. Sixteen modules run from analytics and emerging technologies through economics, financial analysis and reporting, marketing, corporate finance and organisational behaviour into strategy, innovation and a consultancy project, with a global immersion week.

The eligibility rule is the whole story and it appears on TU Dublin's own page rather than in immigration small print. Non-EU applicants need documentary proof of Irish residency or a work permit for the full duration, applications from non-residents are not processed, and the fee is not refunded. That is a decision made before any academic assessment.

Frequently asked questions

What is the total cost of TU Dublin MBA for an Indian student?

The current planning total is EUR 25,050, about INR 27.57 lakh. It combines the published tuition with the cost inputs shown in the table. Private medical insurance, flights, refundable housing deposits, bank spreads and later fee changes remain outside the amount, so it is a comparison figure rather than a university invoice.

What is the entry requirement for TU Dublin MBA?

The current programme rule is a recognised primary degree or professional qualification plus five years of post-graduation experience, including three managerial or professional years. TU Dublin applies its India equivalence and programme-specific subject or experience conditions to the complete official file. A published minimum permits assessment but doesn't guarantee an offer, and a discretionary route isn't an entitlement.

What English score does TU Dublin MBA require?

The current requirement is IELTS Academic 7.0, for applicants whose first language is not English. TU Dublin says accepted English evidence must come from one sitting and be issued within two years of the expected programme start. A programme-specific score controls when it is higher than the general university minimum.

When is the TU Dublin MBA deadline?

The September 2026 non-EU deadline was 26 June 2026 and has passed. The checked sources do not establish a later open intake. The page therefore records next-intake interest only and needs a source refresh before any future application date is presented as open.

Does TU Dublin MBA guarantee a placement?

No general placement guarantee is published. There is no placement. The programme includes an individual consultancy project and a week-long global leadership immersion whose destination and extra cost are not published. Employer names or role lists on a course page do not promise a host, interview, salary or job to each student, and the checked evidence supplies no programme cohort placement percentage.

What jobs follow TU Dublin MBA?

TU Dublin connects the course with senior management, strategy, leadership and organisational transformation roles. TU Dublin publishes no cohort salary uplift, placement rate, employer sponsorship share or post-MBA role distribution. The link is useful for judging curriculum direction, but it does not state the probability, salary or location of an individual graduate outcome.

Can an Indian student stay in Ireland after TU Dublin MBA?

This part-time mixed MBA is not a study-visa route from India. A non-EU applicant needs qualifying Irish residence or work permission for the course duration, and the conditions of that existing permission control work and residence.

Which TU Dublin campus teaches MBA?

The current course location is Aungier Street. TU353, formerly TU353A, is an executive-format MBA for experienced working professionals. It is not a full-time early-career MBA. TU Dublin has several Dublin campuses, so accommodation and commuting plans must use the programme location rather than assuming every course is taught at Grangegorman.
