3. The shared first year is not mechanical engineering

   TU805 covers chemistry, engineering physics, technical graphics, electrotechnology and mathematics, shared with building, civil, computer, structural, electrical and manufacturing students. Specialisation into mechanical happens at the end of it, and TU Dublin qualifies the progression, saying it aims to keep sufficient capacity so successful students can move into their preferred option. For post-study work the award level is the thing to check. An honours Level 8 degree earns twelve months of permission under the graduate programme, where a Level 9 master’s earns twelve renewable to twenty-four, which is another reason the master’s belongs in the plan.

Who should apply to TU Dublin BEng Mechanical Engineering, and who should not?

This suits someone committed to mechanical engineering who accepts a shared first year and a five-year route to Chartered. TU Dublin has also published no non-EU intake, per its own international closing dates, so there is nothing to apply to today.
