The EUR 11,904 blocked account is the first twelve months of living money and is not added again. VFS charges and provider fees remain outside this total. Euro items are converted at EUR 1 = INR 110.0485, the ECB reference rate on 2 September 2026. The University of Bremen doesn’t charge ordinary tuition for this consecutive master’s, but every student pays a semester contribution. The winter 2026/27 amount is held constant across four semesters only to show the arithmetic. It won’t prevent later contributions from changing.
The EUR 992 monthly benchmark already includes the university’s allowance for health insurance. Adding a separate standard insurance estimate would double count it. Rent, travel, deposits, residence-permit charges, exchange spreads and personal spending can still move the real cash requirement.
