The NZD 20,000 yearly visa-funds minimum is not added separately because living money is already included and remains the student's money. INR values use NZD 1 = INR 57.04094 on 25 August 2026. Flights, books, personal spending, remittance costs and later fee increases are excluded.
The University prices 2027 postgraduate Science at NZD 485.48 per point. Multiplying it by 180 gives NZD 87,386.40. That arithmetic makes the full point load visible, but the programme crosses study periods and can cross fee years. The actual invoice follows enrolled courses and the rate applicable to them.
Living uses NZD 650 a week, the upper end of the University’s accommodation, food and transport estimate. Multiplying by 78 weeks gives NZD 50,700. It is a practical Auckland allowance, not a legal minimum and not a promise that every student will spend the same amount.
The 2027 Student Services Fee and Studentsafe premium were not published. The model carries the latest 2026 references so these real streams do not disappear. Both must be replaced after the University publishes the 2027 amounts, and any later renewal can change the 18-month outflow.
Scholarships aren’t subtracted. New terms for the India High Achiever Scholarship use a 25 percent tuition credit across the first two semesters and an Admissions GPE 7.0 floor. Eligible applicants are invited and the number of awards varies. The base budget must therefore work without an award.
The Norman Thom Award is relevant only to a full-time thesis student in the School of Environment. Its fetched listing gives one NZD 3,500 award and 2026 dates. It cannot finance the admission plan because thesis transfer and the next award cycle are both still conditional.

The current public rule is the safest starting point for an overseas file. It asks for a recognised Science degree and GPE 4.0 in 75 Stage III points. Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Geography and Geology are examples, not an automatic exhaustive list or an assurance that every course in those subjects will count.
A three-year Indian BSc can provide the undergraduate basis in principle. Auckland still decides whether the institution is recognised, whether the subject is relevant, how much study is advanced and how the marks convert. Degree duration alone doesn’t clear or reject the file.

Start with a transcript map. List the final-year Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Geography or Geology study, then attach official point or credit values and descriptions. This answers the 75 Stage III point question more directly than a general statement that the bachelor’s degree was related.
Submit the recognised award, complete transcripts, grading scale and certified translations where needed. If the Indian marks system or institution classification is unclear, include the official university documentation. After the offer, review the exact entry conditions, initial taught status, course plan and fee invoice before payment. A preference for research does not override the route sequence. Any scholarship invitation should also be assessed separately from the decision to fund the base programme.

What can the Auckland Master of Environmental Science lead to after graduation?

The strongest taught fit wants an interdisciplinary environmental portfolio rather than a narrow professional conversion. It can use data handling, impact assessment and electives across ecology, pollution, climate, geography, geochemistry and management, then complete a bounded 30-point project.
