What is the TUS MSc Business Analytics in Limerick?

TUS MSc Business Analytics is a one-year, 90-ECTS Level 9 course at Moylish for Business, IT, Science or Engineering graduates. Non-EU tuition is EUR 18,500 for 2026/27, about INR 20.60 lakh. A twelve-month Limerick plan using current official figures is about INR 40.00 lakh.

The course combines business strategy and decision-making with statistics, modelling, databases, Excel, VBA, SQL, visualisation and a 30 ECTS research project. September 2026 is closed. TUS hasn’t published September 2027 availability, its fee or deadline, although the next global cycle opens on 1 October 2026.

How much does TUS Business Analytics cost?

The one-year planning total is EUR 35,926, about INR 40.00 lakh. It includes EUR 18,500 tuition, twelve months of TUS‘s Limerick living estimate and current application, visa and registration charges. Insurance, flights and refundable housing deposits are excluded. Tuition contributes EUR 18,500 to that figure.

TUS requires at least EUR 6,000 within three months of a conditional offer for this high-demand course. It is part of tuition, not an extra cost. Converted at EUR 1 = INR 111.3475, the ECB reference rate on 26 August 2026. Provider rates differ. Travel, insurance and refundable accommodation deposits sit outside this calculation.

TUS’s Limerick estimate is EUR 1,418 monthly, with accommodation at EUR 700 to EUR 850. The planning total uses twelve months because the programme is a one-year course whose third semester contains the major project.

The EUR 6,000 offer payment materially changes the first cash requirement. Failure to pay can forfeit the place. The offer letter controls current dates and the stale 2025 final-payment date on a general page mustn’t be used.

Postgraduate merit awards may reach EUR 4,000 but are competitive. Irish immigration separately requires access to at least EUR 10,000 beyond tuition, and part-time earnings can’t be used to prove that amount.

Irish immigration states the funding rule directly

“You must show you have sufficient funds to support your stay in Ireland without recourse to public funds, or the reliance on casual employment.”Immigration Service Delivery, student finances

This isn’t a second charge in the cost table. It is the evidence-of-funds test behind the budget.

Can an Indian applicant meet TUS Business Analytics entry rules?

Admission needs a 2.2 Level 8 honours degree in Business, IT, Science or Engineering and master’s-level English. TUS may interview, but publishes no fixed mathematics-credit rule, GRE, GMAT or work-experience minimum. Indian degree classification remains the difficult part for BBA and BCom applicants.

RequirementPublished ruleWhat you do
Academic field (India)Business, IT, Science or EngineeringSubmit the final award and transcript
Programme grade (India)Minimum honours 2.2Meet the applicable India threshold
BTech or BE (India)60% if assessed under AnalyticsAsk TUS to classify the route
Three-year BCA (India)65% for AnalyticsConfirm Level 8 equivalence
Three-year BBA or BCom (India)60% shown only for Other DisciplinesObtain written programme treatment
IELTS Academic (India)6.5 overall, no band below 6.0Submit a valid current result
Interview (India)May be requiredPrepare to discuss readiness and goals

The course page does not prescribe a quantitative ECTS minimum, which distinguishes it from both TUS Data Analytics programmes. That makes the India qualification classification and evidence of readiness especially important for a three-year business award.

The current master’s English row requires IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6.0. Published Duolingo, TOEFL iBT and PTE routes carry component conditions. Meeting English does not resolve the academic-equivalence ambiguity.

No prior experience is mandatory, but the one named graduate story belongs to an experienced analyst. A fresher should not infer that the same role progression is typical merely because the course accepts applicants without experience.

Three checks that decide an Indian business analytics file

  1. A BBA or BCom route is not clearly classified

The programme accepts Business, but the South Asia table shows three-year BBA, Management and BCom awards only under Other Disciplines rather than Analytics. Written assessment matters more than assuming that 60 percent settles entry.
  2. The tool profile is business facing

TUS names Excel, VBA, Analytic Solver Platform, XLMiner and SQL. It does not name a Python or R module on the current curriculum, so applicants should compare the tool set with their intended technical role.
  3. Continuous assessment changes the workload

Validation describes assessment as coursework throughout the programme and asks for a clear assessment schedule. Students who prefer final examinations should treat this as a fit decision, not a minor delivery detail.

How should an Indian applicant plan the TUS Business Analytics application?

September 2026 is closed and September 2027 availability is unpublished. Use 1 October 2026 to check the Limerick catalogue and ask how TUS classifies the exact Indian award. The answer determines whether a BBA or BCom can enter this course.

A direct applicant selects one course in the international portal, uploads identity, academic, English, CV and reference evidence, and pays EUR 50. TUS may interview and says an academic update normally takes about two weeks.

Business Analytics needs a published course deadline. Confirm September 2027 availability, the high-demand payment term and the India classification before setting submission dates.

The allowances are Nbyula planning estimates, not processing times published by Technological University of the Shannon.

Lead with the classification question rather than a generic application. A written answer on whether a BBA or BCom is assessed as Analytics or Other Disciplines prevents an applicant from misreading the country table.

The statement of purpose should connect prior evidence to the actual course, including business strategy, modelling, SQL, visualisation and decision-making. It should not pretend that a Python-heavy curriculum is published when it is not.

A conditional offer triggers the high-demand EUR 6,000 schedule. The old 1 June 2026 closing date cannot be reused for the next intake, and the live application button does not override the central closure.

The 2027 programme list is not yet publishedConfirm both programme availability and the India qualification route before submitting.

What jobs can follow TUS Business Analytics?

TUS names five prospective roles and publishes one exact graduate who moved into an Analytics and Growth Lead post after arriving with over seven years of analyst experience. That is credible individual evidence, not a fresher benchmark. No programme placement rate, salary distribution or employer pipeline is published.

TUS's old jobs and salary projections are neither current nor programme outcomes. They are excluded from the page's career judgement.

The realistic entry targets include junior business analyst, business intelligence analyst, customer insight analyst, reporting analyst and specialised data or financial analyst. The Excel, VBA, SQL, modelling and visualisation sequence fits applied commercial work more directly than a pure data-engineering role.

SOLAS records strong growth and employer demand for business analysts but concludes that the broad occupation has no overall shortage. It also says some data-scientist demand concerns small numbers. Demand should therefore inform role choice rather than imply automatic placement.

Akash Deep Sinha’s story is useful because it connects the exact programme to automation, databases and Power BI work. His more than seven years at Zomato before the MSc makes it unsafe to use the result as an expected outcome for a fresher.

An exact-course comparison thread contains conflicting views of TUS and the University of Limerick from broader alumni, not confirmed graduates of this MSc. That disagreement can inform institutional preference but not teaching or placement claims.

Who is TUS Business Analytics for, and who should avoid it?

The strongest fit is a business or technical graduate who wants Excel, VBA, SQL, modelling and decision-making under continuous assessment. The weakest fit is someone seeking a Python-led data-science conversion, a final-examination structure or a guaranteed internship and placement outcome.

VerdictYour backgroundWhy
Strong fitBusiness graduate with statistics and strong ExcelThe tools and strategy modules match commercial analytics work.
Strong fitIT or engineering graduate seeking business contextThe course adds modelling, decisions and strategy to technical preparation.
Needs evidenceIndian BBA or BCom applicant at 60%Programme field fit is published, but the country-table classification is unresolved.
Do not shortlistApplicant seeking a Python or R-led curriculumNeither language is named as a module on the current page.
Do not shortlistApplicant expecting internship or automatic placementThe capstone is research and no placement rate or employer pipeline is published.

The programme is well matched to someone who likes repeated applied assignments and can manage continuous deadlines. It is poorly matched to a student who performs best through a small number of final examinations.

The course can suit a fresher academically because experience is not mandatory. Career expectations still need calibration because the one exact published role outcome belongs to an experienced analyst.

The 30 ECTS research project requires independent writing as well as tool use. A reader wanting a shorter employer project should not mistake the broad business orientation for a light capstone.

What does the 90-ECTS TUS Business Analytics curriculum contain?

TUS publishes ten modules totalling 90 ECTS across three semesters. The taught work joins statistics, strategy, modelling, data management, visualisation and decision science. The final 30 ECTS Applied Research Project includes a 20,000-word dissertation and is not presented as an internship.

  • Semester 3 is a 30 ECTS project

The published tools include Excel macros, VBA, Analytic Solver Platform, XLMiner and SQL. This creates a clear business analytics identity and should be compared with courses that explicitly teach Python or R.

The 2023 validation report records 100 percent continuous assessment. The final project then shifts into a substantial dissertation, so the programme combines frequent assessed work with a large independent conclusion.

Should an Indian applicant shortlist TUS Business Analytics?

Shortlist it if you want business-facing analytics built around modelling, Excel, VBA, SQL and decision-making, and only after TUS confirms how your exact Indian degree is classified. A BBA or BCom is not clearly resolved for Analytics by the country table.

The programme's value is its integration of commercial decisions and analytical tools rather than a pure computing curriculum. The tradeoff is that it names no Python or R module and relies entirely on continuous coursework under the validation design. That structure suits applied coursework better than an examination-led preference.

Four things are genuinely hard here. A three-year BBA or BCom has no clear Analytics classification in the India table. The early offer payment is EUR 6,000. The capstone is a 20,000-word research project, not a promised internship. TUS publishes no cohort placement rate or salary, and its one exact graduate outcome came after more than seven years of prior analyst experience.

Frequently asked questions

How much is TUS MSc Business Analytics for Indian students?

The 2026/27 non-EU tuition is EUR 18,500, about INR 20.60 lakh at the 26 August 2026 ECB rate. A twelve-month plan adding TUS's Limerick living estimate and current application, visa and registration charges is EUR 35,926, about INR 40.00 lakh. Insurance, flights and housing deposits are excluded.

Can an Indian BBA or BCom graduate apply?

The programme accepts Business graduates with a 2.2 Level 8 honours degree, but TUS's India table lists three-year BBA, Management and BCom awards only under Other Disciplines rather than Analytics. A 60% result alone does not settle the classification. Ask TUS to assess the exact award and confirm Irish Level 8 equivalence.

Does TUS Business Analytics require IELTS or GMAT?

TUS requires IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0 under its current master's table. Published alternatives include Duolingo, TOEFL iBT and PTE with component floors. No GRE, GMAT or work-experience minimum is published. TUS may, however, arrange an interview, including by Zoom for an international applicant.

Does TUS Business Analytics teach Python or R?

The current course page names Excel macros, VBA, Analytic Solver Platform, XLMiner, SQL, databases, modelling and visualisation. It does not name a Python or R module. That does not prove the languages are never used, but applicants should not assume a Python-led curriculum without a current module handbook or written confirmation.

Is TUS Business Analytics one year or two years?

The current course page, 2024 validation report and 2026/27 fee schedule identify a one-year, 90 ECTS full-time MSc. A 2023 validation document carried an older two-year label, which is superseded by the later and current official evidence. The page therefore plans one full year, including the third-semester project.

Does TUS Business Analytics guarantee a placement?

No internship, placement rate or employer pipeline is published. The final semester is a 30 ECTS Applied Research Project with a 20,000-word dissertation. TUS publishes one exact graduate who later entered an analytics role, but he arrived with over seven years of prior analyst experience and is not a fresher benchmark.
