A current MBA in Poland costs PLN 71,000 to PLN 100,500 in this comparison, yet it is usually the wrong product if your first need is a Polish student visa. The three English executive routes examined here ask for substantial professional experience. The lowest published threshold is five years for a WUT applicant who already holds a master’s degree. These are executive or postgraduate programmes for working managers, not ordinary second-cycle degrees for recent Indian graduates. Kozminski states that its English Executive MBA doesn’t grant student status and can’t support a student visa application.

If you already have the right to live and work in Poland, the choice becomes a format, experience, fee and career-payback decision. MBA or degree

The words MBA and master’s don’t describe the same legal product in Poland. A normal master’s is second-cycle study. It awards a master’s-level qualification after a qualifying bachelor’s degree. An executive MBA can be non-academic post-diploma education even when a university teaches it and its English name contains Master of Business Administration.

NAWA’s description of Polish higher education says non-academic post-diploma study leads to a certificate. That certificate does not give access to further education and cannot be recognised towards a second-cycle programme. The same official page separates this route from first-cycle, second-cycle and long-cycle study.

The classification should come before the university ranking. A newer graduate can have a strong academic profile and still be ineligible for an executive programme because the work-experience threshold is the product design, not an optional preference. An experienced manager can meet the business-school criteria and still lack the immigration basis to relocate for that programme.

Student status

The decisive rule concerns the purpose of stay. The Office for Foreigners study-permit guidance places full-time first-cycle, second-cycle and long-cycle study under the normal study route. It describes part-time higher education, postgraduate education and MBA study as education rather than studies, with a different residence basis.

This also changes the work-rights analysis. The Office for Foreigners work guidance says a person staying on the Polish full-time-study visa or the Article 144 study permit may work without a work permit. An MBA participant does not gain that exemption from the programme title alone. Another independent residence and work basis may apply to a particular person, but the executive course does not create it.

Kozminski has the heaviest published experience threshold and the highest current tuition in this set. Its once-only payment saves PLN 3,000 against the three-instalment price, but paying earlier reduces liquidity. The programme’s roughly monthly blocks may suit a manager who can travel, while its own visa warning makes it unsuitable as a student-route shortcut.

WUT has two experience paths. The official 2026 to 2028 recruitment document asks a master’s graduate for five years of professional experience and a bachelor’s or engineering graduate for eight. Both need three managerial years and C1 English. The current fee page says payment is in eight instalments, but it contains impossible calendar dates. The PLN 87,500 total is usable for comparison, while the due dates need direct correction from the school before payment.

Poznan-Atlanta publishes the lowest total tuition of the three. It also excludes the US business-trip cost, so PLN 71,000 is not the complete attendance budget. Its live admission page now states seven years of managerial experience, English and MBA-predisposition tests, an interview, two references and proof of work experience.

Entry rules

An Indian bachelor’s or master’s degree does not replace the experience requirement. Each school checks a different combination of degree level, years worked, managerial responsibility, English and selection performance. Build the application from the named programme rule rather than a generic MBA eligibility list.

Managerial experience is not merely time after graduation. The schools ask for a management component, and Poznan-Atlanta requests an HR statement confirming the professional record. A title such as senior analyst or team lead may or may not satisfy the school. A written admissions assessment of the responsibility evidence reduces the risk of paying a non-refundable application charge for an ineligible profile.

Foreign diplomas can need additional documents. Kozminski asks for the diploma supplement or transcript and an official English translation when the documents are not in Polish or English. The WUT PDF asks for a certified translation of a diploma issued in another language. For a full-time degree alternative, Indian applicants should also check the Poland master’s eligibility and NAWA route, because second-cycle recognition is a separate process from executive selection.

Fees and payback

Tuition is only the first cost. The attendance budget also includes the application charge, compulsory travel, accommodation during blocks and income lost while away from work. Employer funding can reduce your personal cost, but it can also come with a service obligation that belongs in the payback decision.

A worked example shows the formula without pretending to know your salary outcome. The calculation begins with Poznan-Atlanta’s published PLN 71,000 tuition and PLN 1,000 application fee. A personal PLN 12,000 travel-and-stay estimate with no income lost brings the attendance cost to PLN 84,000. If the applicant expects an annual take-home increase of PLN 28,000, the result is PLN 84,000 divided by PLN 28,000, or 3 years. The travel estimate and income increase are hypothetical inputs, not university outcomes or Nbyula forecasts.

Run a weak case as well as a target case. If the expected increase falls to PLN 14,000, the same hypothetical budget takes 6 years to recover. If an employer funds half the attendance cost without a repayment condition, payback shortens. If the programme requires frequent India-to-Poland travel or unpaid leave, it lengthens. The correct comparison is after-tax personal cash flow, not a broad gross-salary table from another country.

The wider cost of living in Poland matters differently for a resident manager, a block-travelling executive and a full-time student. A weekend programme does not automatically create twelve months of student living costs, while a monthly schedule can still create repeated accommodation expenses.

Safer degree route

A recent Indian graduate who needs the normal study route should compare full-time second-cycle programmes. Two current official examples show the difference clearly. They are not MBA substitutes in name. They are degree routes with regular academic admission, a four-semester structure and student-status implications that follow full-time second-cycle study.

Kozminski’s full-time management degree has a lower published two-year tuition than its English Executive MBA. It also uses academic admission rather than eight years of work. Its current page lists PLN 38,800 for year one when paid annually and says the admission process concludes after the required tuition is covered. The applicant’s acceptance instructions therefore decide the cash needed before any extra visa documentation is requested.

SGH lists International Business among its 2026/27 English second-cycle programmes. Its programme page states full-time study over two years. The current fee order prices the remaining full-time English graduate programmes at EUR 2,400 per semester in one payment. The 2026 international registration ran from 9 June to 23 July, which is planning evidence rather than a published 2027 deadline.

The route tradeoff is larger than tuition. An executive format can protect current employment because classes are concentrated into blocks, but it does not award the same qualification or create the same student basis. A full-time degree can provide the correct second-cycle route and a regular academic experience, but it can require relocation, two years away from full-time work and heavier living costs. Neither product is universally better. The supported choice depends on current experience, residence position and the qualification needed next.

A degree route still needs an admissible Indian qualification, accepted language evidence and a viable budget. It is safer only in the specific sense that it is the correct product to examine when the goal is full-time second-cycle study. 2027 plan

No official page read for this guide publishes a complete 2027 intake for all four routes. The current dates establish sequence but not next year’s deadline. Executive rounds in this sample closed in August or September 2026, while SGH’s full-time international second-cycle round closed in July.

The elapsed gaps also matter. Kozminski’s 2026 selection falls 7 days after its application deadline, with the programme starting in October. Poznan-Atlanta allows about 7 weeks between its 15 August document deadline and 3 October orientation. Those weeks can contain tests, interview, contracting and payment rather than spare application time. A 2027 plan needs the degree, experience evidence and funding ready before the closing date.
